Background & Perspective
Former C-suite executive | MBA, The University of Texas at Austin | Leadership roles at Coca-Cola FEMSA, FEMSA, Vitro, and Grupo Financiero Banorte | Founder & CEO, Fides and ETran
I am a former C-level executive with extensive experience in financial leadership, strategic planning, mergers and acquisitions, and organizational transformation across multinational and high-growth environments. My career has centered on operating at scale—where capital allocation, governance, and execution materially shape outcomes.
I have held senior leadership roles within global organizations including Coca-Cola FEMSA, FEMSA, Vitro, and Grupo Financiero Banorte, working closely with boards, shareholders, regulators, and international partners. These roles required navigating complexity across markets, cultures, and capital structures, often during periods of significant transition.
This background informs everything I do today. Whether developing transportation infrastructure, writing speculative fiction, or maintaining a painting practice, my approach is grounded in disciplined analysis, systems thinking, and a long-term view of consequences.
Community & Board Service
I currently serve as Secretary and Board Member of the Fundación Martínez Sada, a Monterrey-based foundation that provides full university scholarships to high-potential students who lack the financial means to pursue higher education.
Board service in this context is practical and demanding. It involves stewardship, accountability, and long-term decision-making—applying the same rigor expected in corporate governance to ensure that resources, intent, and impact remain aligned over time.
Sustainable systems—economic, institutional, or social—depend on thoughtful governance and a long view.
ETran — Rethinking Mass Transportation
ETran is an elevated transportation concept I created to address the structural limits of today’s rail and transit infrastructure—cost, right-of-way complexity, construction disruption, and safety at grade crossings. The system is designed to deliver high-speed, commuter, and urban mobility with a lighter footprint and a more scalable path to deployment.
The technology is protected by an expanding international patent portfolio and is being advanced in collaboration with the Center for Electromechanics (CEM) at The University of Texas at Austin. The current focus is full-scale validation—moving from concept to a working prototype suitable for rigorous testing and real-world infrastructure requirements.
- Elevated system concept designed to reduce right-of-way and construction disruption
-
Safety-forward approach, including reduced exposure to grade-crossing incidents
-
Protected by a growing international patent portfolio
-
Developed in collaboration with research partners for prototype readiness
Sanguis Christi
Sanguis Christi is a work of speculative fiction that examines power, belief, technology, and consequence at a civilizational scale. Rather than treating the future as spectacle, the novel focuses on the structures—political, institutional, and moral—that shape outcomes over time.
The work reflects the same systems-level thinking that informs my professional life: how individual decisions propagate through organizations, how unintended consequences emerge at scale, and how judgment matters most when certainty is unavailable.
Oil Painting
Alongside my work in technology and writing, I maintain a disciplined oil painting practice grounded in realism and traditional technique. Painting is an exercise in patience, observation, and restraint—qualities that sharpen attention and reinforce respect for process.
This practice is not separate from my other work. It reflects the same commitment to craft, clarity, and long-form thinking required to build systems that endure.
Leadership & Advisory
I am open to select leadership, advisory, and board-level roles with mission-driven organizations operating at scale, particularly where technology, infrastructure, and long-term decision-making intersect.
Across sectors, my work has focused on helping organizations navigate complexity, allocate capital responsibly, and align execution with strategy over extended horizons.
